2004 CHINA STUDY TOUR EXPERIENCE

This year's China Study Tour saw 12 ESTT students and one non-ESTT student attend this unique experience.

As with every tour to China, the group started their journey with a couple of nights in Beijing where they were able to visit many tourist attraction sights such as Summer Palace where this Buddah Temple is situated.

Here the group is visiting the Forbidden City. From back row left to Right: Jessica de Tarczynski, Luiz Wilson (non-ESTT), Nikki Knighton (College Dean), Sharon Stehn, Dina Tang, Andrew Goldsworthy, John Ter Haar, Michelle Clark, Calvin Furnell, Annalise Devine. Colin Cassimatis and Jessica Timmons are yet to join the group as they are coming from the Cuba tour.

A view from the amazing climb of The Great Wall of China. It's hard to beleive you are there when you have reached the end. Well worth the hike!

Next destination is to Nanjing were the students will be under the guidence of the very respected and humbled character, Dr Wang Jianmin. ESTT has had a long-standing relationship with Dr Wang, and in the past ESTT has brought him to our shores were we were able to share our cultures with him.
Dr Wang will once again be visiting us in next year with his family.

As part of their training in Nanjing, the students were fortunate to view Tuina and other TCM methods being utilised at the Chinese Institute of Sport. Students were able to treat champion athletes as part of the experience.

During their stay in Nanjing, students also had the opportunity to do a two day field trip to Yellow Mountain. (Colin Cassimatis)

At the end of their training, each student was rewarded a Certificate with their photo in it by the Director of the University, Professor Wu Jian Long. (Student Michelle Clark)

The students from ESTT would like to say a big thank you to Sun Li (Lilly), who plays a big part in putting this tour together. We are grateful for your translations, making life easier for us, and for you patience.
